Today: August 30, 2008

Saturday morning started with mount climbing.

The breakfast of the day is in Sri Petaling at 11am to 2.30pm. It lasted for hours because my friend Billy and I were busy chit chatting. It has been a long time since we last met. The brunch of the day...

1) A variety of Dim sum with
2) Chinese tea

The tea was enjoying as we sat there and enjoy the moment while sipping tea under the shades of the trees.

Four to five hours later is dinner. Aunt Elaine decided not to cook dinner today so she bought home "Nasi Kukus" (Direct translated: steam rice). The steam rice taste good. The rice unlike others was not sticky and it was still warm. The content of "Nasi kukus" was not only the rice, it also have got a chicken drumstick, cucumber, nuts and some sambal sauce. "Nasi Kukus" is quite similar to a local Malaysian dish name "Nasi Lemak" but the difference between them is that "Nasi Lemak" has egg and "Nasi kukus" none.

Late in the evening at about eight to nine, I late some supper. Among the food consume includes...

1) A bowl of soup "Cashew nuts with chicken"
2) Lo Hon Ko herbal tea
3) "Egg tea" also known as "Kai Tan Cha" in Cantonese.

I think I had a lot to eat today. So worry that I'm going fat.
** Please god don't make me fat.

Today: August 29, 2008

Today is a Friday. Two days to the National day.

Because I was terribly late caught in a jam in Kuala Lumpur due to the National day marching rehearsal I had no breakfast this morning. It took me two and a half hour to go to the office today. Damn good record...

Lunch in Section 17: 1.15pm to 2pm sharp return to the office.

As I was superb late today and I had no breakfast, I have a little more to eat during lunch. I had my lunch with Yeon, Ed and Joyce. The food of the day is...

1) The famous Penang Char Kuey Teow
2) Bulls eye egg
3) Lor Hon Ko as my drink of the day.

Due to the ever change weather these days, we must always drink more herbal tea to cool down the heat in our body.

As for dinner is at downstairs Fatimah Restaurant: 7pm.

Today have got classes after work and due to the heavy "brunch" I only have "cucur udang" for dinner (Aka prawn cracker).

Later the night when I return home, I had chicken chop. Aunt Elaine is a good cook, unfortunately the chicken sucked. I only have a few chew and had to wrap up the chicken with blotter and threw it into the dustbin. Hopefully she never finds it (@'.'@)~

Today: August 28, 2008

Breakfast in Accenovate: 10.30 am.

Good morning! Today's breakfast is...

1) 1/2 cup of milo with
2) 6 Hup Seng Cream Crackers

Never bother to drink the milo as it is use to dip the biscuits. Always have the habit of breaking the biscuits into half and dip it in the milo for the taste of rich chocolate.

Lunch in Section 17: 12.15pm to 1pm sharp return to the office.

Lunch everyone! Went out to eat with Uni mate Gary. Sorry Yeon for rejecting your invitation for lunch. I was booked and almost forgotten the lunch date. Food eaten is...

1) Soyabean iced and
2) Economic rice worth RM3 (Bean curd, curry potato and egg with small rice)
The dessert and its topping? Well, it is juicy updates from Gary on his love life....

Okay everyone one tip of the day, resist the temptation of going out in groups for lunch as it delay your time back to the office and of course pro-long the lunch hour.

Dinner ... were is dinner?

Okay dinner was at 9.30pm, I ate rubbish such as...

1) Maggie mee
2) Soup
3) Red bean dessert
4) 1 Vege, little fish + little egg.

Hehe... What? I was hungry. A long the day I have eaten some tidbits... It was very unhealthy. If mom finds out I will get the scolding. Shouldnt have simply eat anything especially when I'm sick ;) Sorry MOM!

Family (mom): Mom's Love & The watch (August 23, 2008)

My mom, she's a very simple woman. Last Saturday she bought me a watch. This is how the watch looks like.

Thanks mom, I like it very much. I really do! The reason why she bought me a watch is because I simple have none. This is due to my numerous histories of sudden disappearing watches.

About the disappearing of watches, I can explain. This, we will have to start talking about my habit of wearing watches. Many, who know me, knew I always have a watch on my wrist. I never seem to take them off even when I go to bath or sleep or swim, in short, it is 24 to 7 on my wrist. Them (the watch) disappearing from my sight seems tough. Unfortunately so, "Yes it does", cuz several mornings I woke up and one watch gone. There goes another and so does another and another.... The number of watch I have lost? Erm... numerous ;) Till today, I don’t know where they ended up.

Again back to my mom, she's a very simple and humble woman. Just like my grandmother did. Why I would label her a simple woman is because of her live, full time housewife and the only thing she's worried about is how to be a good mother. She thinks she isn’t a good mother when she's no longer washing my clothes. Ain’t she lovable?

Anyway it was not all about her simplicity or all the missing watches. I was suppose to highlight how touch I am she bought me a watch... Along with the watch she said to me "I'm sorry I cannot afford something fancy or branded. I hope you'd like it despite it being very cheap."

Oh my god, mom! You almost put me in tears. It’s not the brand or the cost; I'd love anything from you, anything! & like I say above, I like it very much. In fact, it is very thoughtful of you.

The 7th Ray of Memoirs – My treasure!

The day was hot. We cannot wait to get it over and done with…

I walked in, greeted the madam seated at the counter and started strolling shelves after shelves looking at every single stones available even in the deepest corner. I was busy looking at the variety of crystals displayed at the shop with all my other friends. It was thought to be like any other day. It was the last stay of my trip there.

They gathered round the counter talking to the friendly lady serving. Me, I am still looking for the right stones. Choosing which one to pick out of the thousands is often a very difficult decision to make. After pointing out a few, I return to the counter to get a sit before I finalized which one to purchase.

Sitting at the counter and looking at the variety of stones introduced. The man of the house was busy introducing, show and also pointed at the stones one over another. He was busy with his introduction and me with my bargaining for a better price.

I STILL DID NOT NOTICE!

Mrs. Tan at the counter started to divert her conversation to me. “So it’s been a long time since I saw you, how are you doing?”, “I’m fine thank you. Yes, it’s been a long time, haha I’ve been busy.” She handed over a name card to everyone then me and she said “Let me introduce, this is my son! And that is his name card.” She pointed at the guy in red in between one of the shelves.
NOW THAT is when I notice the stranger my friends were talking to! He was the guy Looi was chatting to happily. Okay so she wasn’t on a call! He blushed and laughed then he said “Hi, I’m Ray!”. I stretched my hands out and shake his. “Well, nice to meet you. I’m Ching.” Everyone started introducing themselves to him and then my attention was drawn back to his mom.

Looking at me she said to everyone “My son is still single, are you single? It would be great if you can introduce anyone nice to him…” Are you kidding me? Your contacts and his is broader then mine. You don’t need me to introduce any! I saw him shy off saying that it’s embarrassing and suggested us to divert to another topic.

That was when his dad looked over and says “Ah, Yes, that’s my son!” so proud of him that he was, he then continued with his introduction on the collections…

******************

That day, after I left the shop, I actually issued a SMS out to him and I wrote “AH, So I do know you, they told me you were the guy who frequents Nesturn, the guy who owns the shop! No wonder why you seem rather familiar.”

On our first conversation he said “I was very surprised how smart my mom was to hand over my name card. She understands me very well and knows what I’d like. She gave me a shock with what she did and my dad too! He’s never like this before. Can you remember how he look over half way and introduced me to you and you only?” To tell you the truth I did not noticed that. Knowing the nature of mine, it’s hard for me not to be careless and notice details.

Most of your words are still freshly carved in my memory. He talked a lot that night. One that meant a lot that night was you saying “Remember that SMS? I was hoping so hard. Hoping it was you on the other line. My mom asked me to call and ask if it was you. Indeed it was you! I need to thank my mom. If not, I would not have found you.” From his voice, one can tell he was with joy so happy that he carried a smile all the way while talking.

Here I know, he has set his eyes on me when I walked into the shop. His eyes followed me throughout the entire transaction. He has set strong determination to make me his and I am the lucky girl picked. It wasn’t any ordinary day after all, because I’ve found you too!

** Nesturn is a cafĂ© I visited frequently. They have singers who perform on stage. Well, it’s a lonely night nothing much you can do if not to catch up with friends. I saw him there frequently but was not properly introduced.
